Deserted.


This morning, as I drove to a nearby parish to fulfill my Holy Day obligation, something struck me: the absence of traffic. Whether it was people out walking, or cars out driving, they were few and far between in this area of Saint Paul, and that was at 10:30! Not only that, but many stores that are usually open, even on Sundays, were closed. I found it actually quite quaint. I began thinking about Pope John Paul II's Apostolic Letter, Dies Domini, on keeping the Lord's Day holy. Now if only we could have every Sunday be a little bit like today...
