I have become all things to all, to save at least some.

Today we went to the Major Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Wall. We had Mass there and toured the church and had our class outside in the garden area overlooking the front of the church and the statue. We discussed the missionary spirit of Saint Paul and looked to him as a guide for the proclamation of the Gospel. Since my picture-taking abilities are lacking, I found some stock pictures. The outside of the basilica is being cleaned and some restoration work is taking place, so the garden and courtyard in front of the church is beautiful but it is covered in scaffolding. On the bright side, as a result of the construction, we did manage to negotiate a good price for the statue of Saint Paul (see picture). This is quite handy since we figured that we will model the garden and courtyard of the seminary to look like that of the basilica. So Father Vice Rector can now stop looking for a statue of Saint Paul and figure out how to ship our new purchase back to Saint Paul, MN. :)
P.S. Send euros!
