Today we visited the other two of the four Major Roman Basilicas. We have now been to all four.
We attended Mass at St. Mary Major, had a brief tour and spent some time in prayer.
Then we went to St. John Lateran (Cathedral for the Diocese of Rome) where we saw the basilica, baptistry and scala santa. We also visited the Pontifical Lateran University, where our Rector attended as a seminarian. Unfortunately, we were unable to go in today--maybe another day.
The final stop was at Santa Croce in Gerusalemme, where there are relics of the Passion.

Thank you for all these wonderful pictures you young men are posting on here. I will probably never got to see these things in person, so it's wonderful to see them thru' your eyes ands to get all the background you provide.

So glad you like them--it is wonderful to be able to bring a bit of Rome to peoples' fingertips. Knowing that there are people seeing them who may never see the city in person reassures me of the importance of our efforts with this blog!
